C4IR Serbia at WEF’s Global Tech Governance Retreat 2022

The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Serbia (C4IR Serbia) participated in the international workshop “Global Technology Governance Retreat 2022” during 20-23 June, organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in San Francisco (USA).  At one of the panels, Centre Director Jelena Bojovic presented Serbia’s plans and capacities in the field of artificial intelligence and its use in healthcare.

The event brought together a network of Centres for the Fourth Industrial Revolution from around the world and more than 300 partners of the WEF. Topics discussed included: the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, synthetic biology, new technologies in ecology and agriculture, smart cities and others.

The Global Technology Governance Retreat held its first event in 2017 and was founded in the wake of escalating global conflicts and seeks to support technological and digital transformation pioneers in shaping modern solutions. A three-day summit, hosted by the WEF, aims to facilitate networking, build shared principles, devise needed solutions and raise public awareness of the importance of these topics.
