Today, a new agreement on the use of the National Platform for the Development of Artificial Intelligence was signed at the Office for IT and eGovernment. The agreement was signed by the Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Dr Mihailo Jovanovic and dean of the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Dr Ljubisa Stanisavljevic. The director of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Serbia, Jelena Bojovic, attended the signing.
The strategy for the development of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Serbia defines the establishment of a National Platform, and the Faculty of Biology of the University of Belgrade becomes the 21st institution in Serbia to become its beneficiary. Thanks to the National Platform, it is possible to expand artificial intelligence technology in the Republic of Serbia, as well as to support scientific and research work in this field, improve services and ensure its application in industry.
Thanks to the activities of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Faculty of Biology, researchers will be allowed to work on complex biological analyses and use artificial intelligence in the development of bioinformatics and molecular biology.
The National Platform for The Development of Artificial Intelligence, in addition to faculties, science and technology parks, institutes and funds, is used by start-ups through science and technology parks and the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
