The Digitalization programme for the Serbian Health Care for the period 2022-2026, proposed by the Ministry of Health, was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia at its session in February 2022. The Government of the Republic of Serbia announced that thanks to this programme over the next four years all health care services including referrals, prescriptions, scheduling of appointments, laboratory tests and radiological diagnostics will be fully available to the Serbian citizens by only a click.

The Programme includes comprehensive digitalisation of procedures and networking of institutions within the national public, military and private health care into a single system, through further development of the Integrated Health Care Information System (IZIS).
