Director of the Government Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Serbia, Jelena Bojović attended Dubai Future Forumu 2023, from November 27th to 29th, the largest annual gathering of world innovators. Forum was organized for the second consecutive year by the Dubai Future Foundation at the futuristically designed Museum of the Future. This year’s host was H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in the United Arab Emirates.

The Forum brought together over 2,500 leading world visionaries, experts, and leaders from various fields crucial for the future. Alongside the Centre’s director, Jelena Bojović, the Serbian delegation included Dr. Branka Rakić from the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Dejana Ranković, a special advisor to the Prime Minister focusing on healthcare digitization.

During this event, a important meeting gathered heads and representatives of the World Economic Forum global network of the Centres for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This network, in addition to Serbia and the UAE, gathers 17 other countries. The meeting was open by H.E. Khalfan Belhoul, Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, and the aim was to establish and collaboratively develop a network operational strategy and identify the C4IRs as excellence hubs and resource centers.

Serbia and the UAE, beyond their strong diplomatic relations, share a common mission in tackling the world’s most critical challenges. They seek solutions in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, biotechnology, and more. This collaboration was evident at the international conference Biotech Future Forum, organized by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and its Centre, in partnership with the World Economic Forum and UNDP. The UAE delegation played a significant role at this conference, with H.E. Khalfan Belhoul being a speaker during the state panel at the inaugural conference held in Belgrade.
