The 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum for 2024 in Davos, under the theme “Rebuilding Trust,” is scheduled from January 15 to 19. This event will bring together over 2,800 leaders from 120 countries to initiate dialogues, foster cooperation, and build partnerships addressing crucial global issues. The Serbian delegation will be led by President Aleksandar Vučić.
For the 54th time, the World Economic Forum will serve as a crucial platform for knowledge exchange and the formulation of principles of global responsibility. The thematic focus will encompass economic growth, climate change, energy security, technology management, and human development. The event aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote trust principles, drawing participation from over 100 governments, major international organizations, 1,000 Forum partners, as well as civil society leaders, youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and news outlets.
In addition to the President of the Republic of Serbia, attendees at the annual meeting in Davos will include Li Qiang, Premier of the People’s Republic of China, Emmanuel Macron, President of France, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, Viola Amherd, President of the Swiss Confederation, Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General, Ajay S. Banga, President of the World Bank Group, Achim Steiner, Administrator of UNDP, and numerous others.
As a reminder, in February 2022, the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), established the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Serbia, that is part of a global network that currently comprises 19 centers worldwide.
