The “Goran Ljubijankić” Foundation, established by the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering of the University of Belgrade, has announced this year’s Call for Applications for awards recognizing the best doctoral dissertations and master’s theses in the field of molecular biology defended during 2025.

The competition is open to researchers who carried out their work at institutes and universities in Serbia, and applications must be submitted exclusively electronically. Candidates are required to complete the official application form and submit their CV with a bibliography, as well as the full doctoral dissertation or master’s thesis in PDF format, to the Foundation at: fondacija.fglj@imgge.bg.ac.rs.

The deadline for submitting applications is December 31, 2025, and the total prize fund amounts to 300,000 RSD. Every year on January 30, the birthday of Goran Ljubijankić, the Foundation presents awards to the most successful young researchers for their achievements in the field of molecular biology.
