The Fourth International AI_4_LIFE: Biotech Future Forum Conference

The fourth international AI_4_LIFE: Biotech Future Forum, organized by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and its Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the Office for IT and eGovernment, the World Economic Forum, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the support of the BIO4 Campus, will take place from October 27 to 29, 2025, at the Ložionica in Belgrade, a venue symbolizing the fusion of industrial heritage and a modern future.

Biotech Future Forum is a platform for showcasing the latest achievements in biotechnology and artificial intelligence, fostering collaboration among global leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers. By connecting scientific research with industry and practical solutions, the conference has, for four consecutive years, promoted the development of innovative ideas that shape the future of healthcare, sustainability, and bioeconomy.

The first day of the forum (October 27) will focus on modeling as a key tool for shaping the future. Representatives from government, academia, scientific and research institutions, and industry will discuss topics such as longevity, precision medicine, AI and medical devices, investment models, digital transformation, and entrepreneurial strategies.

The central theme of modeling will be explored through three areas:

  • Modeling Health – the application of advanced models in revolutionizing drug discovery, clinical trials, and personalized medicine.
  • Modeling Innovation – how data and simulations are changing the way we innovate, and how smarter modeling drives smarter innovation and greater impact.
  • Modeling Life with AI – addressing the ethical, technical, and human aspects of living with artificial intelligence in healthcare.

The newest addition to this year’s conference is the Serendipity Collective Challenge, which begins on October 26 with a workshop for participants, followed by a pitch competition held on October 27 during the forum. Scientists, researchers, engineers, artists, and visionaries from around the world will have the opportunity to submit their ideas and present them before an international jury. The winner will be announced at the end of the conference and awarded a $50,000 cash prize.

You can submit your Blue Sky Thinking Ideas in the fields of biotechnology, artificial intelligence, sustainable technologies, or interdisciplinary innovation HERE.

Following the AI_4_LIFE: Biotech Future Forum, from October 28 to 29, the prestigious Nature Journals conference titled Engineered Models of Human Disease, organized by the BIO4 Campus, will take place. The conference aims to promote open exchange among bioengineers, biologists, clinical researchers, and industry partners, focusing on in vitro tissue engineering and interactions to create human-relevant disease models. In addition, it will address challenges in production, characterization, and standardization, as well as the critical role these models play in understanding human diseases, precision, and personalized medicine.
