InnoThyroGen 3rd General Assembly – Progress and Partnership for Thyroid Innovation

The InnoThyroGen consortium successfully completed its 3rd General Assembly in Belgrade, where partners from Croatia and Serbia came together for two days of productive discussions and strategic planning. During the meeting, participants reviewed progress across key work packages, exchanged knowledge on innovation pilots and ecosystem development, and aligned on future project activities and milestones. The agenda also included sessions dedicated to ethics, sustainability and effective communication, reinforcing a joint commitment to advancing personalised medicine in thyroid health.

InnoThyroGen is a Horizon Europe-funded research and innovation project focused on improving the diagnosis, treatment and management of thyroid diseases by leveraging genomics, machine learning, pharmacogenomics and predictive digital tools. The project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of 13 partners – including academic institutions, research centres, hospitals, tech companies and patient organisations from Croatia and Serbia – with the aim of introducing more precise, patient-centric care solutions and building a collaborative ecosystem for sustainable impact. The General Assembly highlighted the continued strength of cross-border cooperation and reaffirmed the consortium’s shared vision. Clear strategic direction, ongoing teamwork and collective expertise set the stage for successful delivery of upcoming project goals and real-world benefits for patients and healthcare systems.
